Crossing the Dachstein in winter over prepared paths or a glacier hike to the Dachsteinwarte. Stomping through the untouched forests on snowshoes. You'll discover fabulous natural beauty and attractive refreshment stops.
Horse-drawn sleigh rides
In the sunshine, when it's snowing or at night - tucked in by the sleigh driver, glide romantically through forest and meadows. Stop at the Speckhütte and enjoy a hearty farmer's snack with mulled cider.
Moonlight toboganning and natural sledging
Walk past Rabinger (very old mountain farm) and carry on gently to Burgstaller. Savour the untouched mountain landscape. Then whizz back down on your sledge along a forest track to the village. Two 7 km long, floodlit toboggan runs lead down from the Hochwurzen or the Galsterbergalm into the valley. Relish the unique natural spectacle of the snow sparkling in the moonlight. Afterwards enjoy a fun time in one of the mountain huts.
Ice skating on our natural lake
You can skate or play ice hockey on our beautiful lake all winter long. Enjoy sport and fun. Ice skating is the "winter sport" for young and old.
