Tourist attractions
Many of our guests visit the famous city of Salzburg, just an hour's drive away. There's so much to see and do: The Trick Fountains, Fortress Hohen Salzburg, the zoo, Mozart`s birthplace etc. You could also visit the well-known city of Graz, just 1.5 hour's drive away, with its Schlossberg, the modern art and culture house or the open-air museum in Stübing. Minimundus, the world of miniature attractions on Wörthersee (Klagenfurt), is a very popular place to visit.
The Dachstein Ice Caves, the Salt Mines in Hallein, Hallstadt and Bad Aussee are all popular tourist attractions. Over the Sölk Pass mountain road you come to the timber museum in Murau and to the fairy tale forest in St. Georgen.
The latest attraction on the Dachstein is the Dachstein Sky Walk viewing platform.
The Dachstein Sky Walk is formally enthroned at 2,700 m above sea-level, high up on the 250 m vertical rock face of the Hunerkogel.
A 360 degree panorama allows the visitor a view of Slovenia in the south to the Czech Republic in the north. This "balcony of the Alps" is distinctly higher than the platforms of the Niagara Falls or the Iguazu waterfalls in Brasil.
